Urinetown the Musical

One of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, URINETOWN is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, URINETOWN is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny. Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical could be, URINETOWN catapults the “comedic romp” into the new millennium with its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.

GROUP RATES AVAILABLE:
Riverview Theatre Company is currently offering a group rate of $10.00 per ticket for groups of 10 or more for our upcoming production of Urinetown – The Musical.

 

Groups must book through our box office phone (815) 354-7796 by Wednesday, May 7.

Please provide the following information when calling to reserve your group:

·        Group Name

·        Number of tickets

·        Phone number

·        Date and time of the show you're attending.

Group reservations can only be made over the phone. Our website PayPal does not accept the lower group rate at this time.  Cash or check payment is expected at the box office when you arrive to pick up your tickets the day of the performance or you can pre-pay by mailing the total amount directly to: Riverview Theatre Company Box Office, 919 Royal Drive, McHenry, Illinois 60050 (checks only please) by the due date of Wednesday, May 7. We cannot accept credit card payments by mail or at the door.

 

In the event that your group arrives for a performance with less than the minimum of 10 group members, the ticket price will revert back to the original full face value ($15/$13). For groups who have prepaid, there is no refund for “no-shows.”
